This book, written in 2004 by Senator Graham and Jeff Nussbaum, is another book I should have read years ago. Sub-titled, "The CIA, the FBI, Saudi Arabia, and the Failure of America's War on Terror", is about the failure of Intelligence Gathering prior to 9/11. Those of us who read more than fiction or the mainstream medias, are aware there was a massive failure of the use of our Intelligence Agencies and the fear of upsetting the Saudi's.
Most of us are aware that all countries of any size have spies in our country as we have spies in their countries. The failure of the spy agencies before 9/11 that took the lives of 3000 innocents and ruined the lives of countless hundreds of thousand others, including the life and family of 24 year old Peorian, Charles "Chip" Chan, has been largely pushed into the dust bin of time.
This revealing and accusing book should be available at any Public Library. The one I have has stiff pages indicating very few readers ever checked it out. A profile of Ex-Senator Bob Graham is available on Wikipedia.
A sad true history of the failure of our intelligence, a sad accusation of our "swamp people" to expose Saudi Arabia, for what it really is. Even today. A sponsor and protector of those who who commit terrorist acts to try to achieve a usually false realization.
