The Firing of YWCA Shelter Director Phil Ryan

This is my third post on Phil Ryan whose politically incorrect letter to the JSEB got him fired. By Mr. Ryan telling it "like it really is in this world" as Luciano says, riled the YWCA poo bahs because he signed his letter 'Phil Ryan, YWCA'.

He was the Shelter Director working for the YWCA and can't tell his readers where he works?

"Against our policy" said the poo bahs. Meaning we don't agree because the truth hurts our compassionate causes and our Director and employees pocketbooks.

I suggest those who donate money to the YWCA should ask that most of the board members be replaced. I hop, at least, board members who fired Ryan aren't paid by any of my tax dollars.

Good luck, Phil, and keep telling it like it is. I've blogged on the homeless, served 5 enlightening years on the Homeless Youth Coalition Steering Committee (Read my blog "Another Plan to End Chronic Homelessness" dated 3/12/06", I've read numerous articles and books and arrived at the same conclusion you did.

You're right and it is time for the YWCA director to move on. Staying too long in one job serving the public often leaves one unable to see the "trees because of the forest".

The wrong change was made. I agree a lot of people need help. But don't you strong Bible believers believe Jesus's parable about fish?
