Margaret Mead Quote

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world"... I wonder if in the time period as lived in by Ms. Mead, "thoughtful and committed" had the same meaning as it has now.

Today, a small group of "thoughtful and committed" people, if left to their own means, can remove most life from the face of the earth.

Democracy is 200+ years old. Some say that history proves that the barbarians at Democracies gates are similar to ones in history 200+ years ago.

Albeit, far more dangerous.
