I bought gas at $3.99+ at Marathon at the same time two Shell Stations on Knoxville were selling the same product at $4.29 +.
On Fox News just now gas prices were shown around the country other than in the immediate and current disaster zones at all under $4.00 a gallon.
Interesting.

Merle: I pulled into the gas station yesterday intending to buy $5, The manager was walking outside at that moment to raise the price from $3.99 to $4.29. I ended up buying $20.
I know law of supply and demand ususally sets prices. It is also known as "taking advantage of a situation".
Years ago there were many independent stations. Today, most all of the stations are owned by a few large companies.
If monopolies abuse the sytsem they should be heavily penalized.
