ICLEI
is a private German Company that promotes sustainability. I have no evidence
that they are active in our region, but that does not preclude the use of their
methods by local operators.
ICLEI
promoted a local water campaign in 2000. The site has been taken down from the
internet, but my attachment was copied before the site was removed.
From my attachment;
Milestone 2: Establish targets----consumption.
Milestone 3.---approval for a local water agenda. This gives cause for concern when Jim Baumgartner speaks of leveraging its' strategic importance. (Baumgartner is employed by Caterpilllar)

My
question, what is the limit of the authority of FFCI?
I
request a public discussion of this question.

The Water Campaign, Australia
Timeframe: 2001 -
ongoing
Coordinator: ICLEI Oceania
The ICLEI’s Water
Campaign is an international freshwater management program
which aims to build the capacity of local government to reduce water consumption
and improve local water quality.
ICLEI's Water Campaign is designed to assist local governments in their
efforts to manage water in a sustainable way. The Campaign provides a framework
that encourages the development of local water action plans to achieve tangible
improvements in local water quality, conservation and access. Participants in
the campaign work towards achieving holistic integrated water resources
management.
The Water Campaign™ is an ICLEI Oceania program delivered in collaboration with the Australian Government, the Government of Western Australia, City West Water, South East Water, Yarra Valley Water, Adelaide and Mount Lofty Ranges Natural Resources Management Board, South Australian Murray-Darling Basin Natural Resources Management Board and the Northern and Yorke Natural Resources Management Board.
There are now 113 Australian councils participating in the Water Campaign™.
The case studies and milestone materials of the Water Campaign™ are accessible for councillors and staff from participating ICLEI Oceania campaigns and programs. The Campaign news is available at the website of the ICLEI Oceania.
