One of my many faults is blogging in a hurry. I made a major error is citing Ardis as resigning early when or course I knew it was Urich who resigned early. Ardis, I predict, will resign as the master plan matures.
Expect Steve Shearer to run Ardis's campaign. He has been most successful. Don't expect Ardis to be more successful in saving Illinois from further reneging on paying way past due bills. He too, will be a member of a minority party for some years to come.
How did Illinois Republicans get in this sorry situation? Look no further than their Central Committees. Some elected Republicans are trying to change to situation with some success. But the deck is stacked and Democrat politicians will drive more people and business out of Illinois as witness the loss of 7% of Chicago's population.
