Before Obama or anyone else sits down for a "fireside chat" with the Iranian president, Carl Goldberg from Tempe, Az. (I once had a business in Tempe) reminds us "that the name of the country is not Iran but the 'Islamic Republic of Iran'. There is a world of difference between the two. The Islamic Republic of Iran is an Islamic theocracy being run not a a normal nation state with normal nation-state interests, but as an Islamic state whose purpose is to further the cause of Islam and jihad.
The ayatollahs who rule the Islamic Republic of Iran are thoroughly imbued with the ideology of Islam, not with nation-state realpolotik. Our approach to them and to the imminent prospects of their attaining nuclear weapons must be based on the understanding that we are dealing with religious extremists, not with statesmen.

Do we believe that Obama is naive enough not to know this? Then we must believe his 20 year relationship with Reverend Wright, Pentagon bomber Bill Ayers and the terribly corrupt and left wing Democrat organization ACORN registering an entire football team and a seven year old girl as legitimate voters was just an ordinary occurrence of meeting and working with people.
We have been warned by the "fair and balanced" media that we do not really know who this charismatic demagogue REALLY is.
