GateHouse Media, parent company of the local Journal Star, share prices closed at $.20 a share on a volume of 7.79 million today. GHS averages 315,000 share a day.
Look for more cost cutting at the JS and some possible bad news from the NYSE where GHS is currently listed. Monday, Christine Smith, Deputy Opinion Editor was still listed as an employee. Today, her name is not listed and we learn she has taken a new position locally.
She seemed like a fair-minded person and I wish her well in her new position.
