The Peoria Museum

I know I promised to blog on the County Board meeting last night so I am. Other than what you read in the JS today, it was just a presentation. Our administrator will put together the request as detailed by the museum supporters. This information will be presented to our Finance Committee meeting late in this month. The next full Board Meeting is scheduled December 13. If a special meeting is called, I will post that information on this site.

I have been asked not to comment on my position and I won’t until all the facts are presented to the Finance Committee.

Your comments are appreciated. I have posted over 430 blogs in three years so you may want to go back into my archives to reread some of them.

I appreciate all of you who pass my blog site along to others. http://widmer-peoria-watch.blogspot.com

Where do you think the $6M that the Museum Group has already received came from but your pockets. Of course, it could have been some of that deficit spending that even the Republicans in Washington love so much, but certainly the $4.5M they've received through Springfield to date has come out of your pockets. You know what they say, in for $6M, why not in for $30M (that's $6M + $24M). I say lets do it, I'm tired and worn out over protesting the Civic Center. I want a new public entity that I can focus my anger and fustrations on.

anyone who supports the museum has the choice to support it by giving to their hearts content. the supporters have made it clear they dont want to give their money they want to take my money (taxpayer) for the museum. the puplic has made it clear (lack of donations) that we do not support this project. please, please, please, county board let this project die.

OT: your link to Peoria Pundit is broken. Probably one of his many old domains or something.
