GOP Convention Security

These two pictures show a small part of the security forces protecting the planners, speakers, delegates, lobbyists, media and ordinary citizens like me. I was happy to meet some of them. They were keeping us secure from danger during the days preceding and during the many events being held in and around the convention center.

The lady in the red hat was in charge of staff at Liberty Plaza, the main event center outside the convention arena.

They did a superb job. The only disturbance I witnessed was security's refusal to allow a couple members of the "Occupiers". The local media said there were about 300 Occupy protesters, far less than the Occupiers' leaders were expecting.

Of all the meetings I attended, including the Unity 2012 meeting at the large community church near Brandon, I never witnessed any rude interruptions by any type of protester. Period.

I guess the radical fringe groups are about as fired up as the Democrat base. Obama, the thrill is gone. Time to pack your bags and take your anger back to Chicago. Rahm Emanuel might be able to use your help to break that teacher's union.
