This excellent program that I promoted for the last few years is now in effect. The policy reads as follows: Residents may drop off all forms of prescriptioin medications and over the counter medications in the Safe Drug Disposal boxes at the following locations.
Bartonville Police Department
Chillicothe Police Department
Peoria Police Department 600 SW Adams St.
Peoria County Courthouse 324 Main St.
Peoria County Jail 301 N. Maxwell
Peoria Heights Police Department 1311 E. Sciota
Medications cannot be accepted from doctor's offices, nursing homes or other institutions or businesses.

Improperly disposing of medications is VERY harmful to our environment, water resources and children. Please do your part.
