Interesting selection of a panel to form a search committee to find the district's next superintendent. One business person to offer input in selecting a superintendent overseeing a budget of $160 million.
If I ran an $160 million dollar operation there may be two people on this list who I would wish to ask to serve on my board of advisors. The rest are have certain good qualities but then so did former Superintendent John Strand and Kay Royster.
Read into that what you wish but I see few positive changes on the horizon for our archaic #150 Peoria Public School system from union to superintendent to board.
On June 16. 2008, the school board signed our present superintendent to a new contract for at least two years.
